Resort Landscape Development in Chiplun, Ratnagiri – Evergreen Landscape Design & Developers

A well-designed resort landscape is more than just greenery. It creates the first impression, improves the guest experience and connects the built environment with nature. This resort landscape project in the Chiplun–Ratnagiri region of Maharashtra is an example of how lawns, tropical plants, coconut palms, recreational spaces and open areas can be integrated to create a refreshing resort environment.

At Evergreen Landscape Design & Developers, we focus on creating landscapes that are attractive, practical and suitable for the local climate. Our approach combines plantation, lawn development, garden design and regular landscape maintenance to keep outdoor spaces healthy and visually appealing.

A Landscape Designed Around the Resort Experience

The resort has a naturally attractive setting, with mature trees, open green areas and a beautiful waterfront view. Our landscape approach was planned to complement these existing natural features rather than overpower them.

The entrance area provides the first impression of the property. Green lawns, ornamental plantation and neatly maintained landscape areas help create a welcoming arrival experience for guests.

Tropical Landscape Around the Resort

One of the most noticeable features of this project is the use of coconut palms and tropical greenery.

Coconut palms provide height, shade and a strong resort character. When combined with shrubs, groundcovers and lawn areas, they create a natural tropical atmosphere that is particularly suitable for resorts in the Konkan region.

The planting strategy focuses on:

• Coconut palms and tropical trees
• Ornamental shrubs
• Groundcover plants
• Lawn development
• Border plantation
• Decorative landscape plants
• Green open spaces

The combination creates a landscape that feels natural while still maintaining a well-organised appearance.

Swimming Pool Landscape

The swimming pool is one of the important recreational areas of the resort. A pool landscape needs to balance aesthetics, safety and ease of maintenance.

The surrounding lawn and tropical planting provide a soft green backdrop to the hardscape and pool area. The greenery also helps reduce the visual harshness of large paved surfaces and creates a more relaxing environment for guests.

For resort landscaping, areas around swimming pools require careful plant selection because plants should be attractive, manageable and suitable for the surrounding conditions.

Resort Lawn and Children’s Play Area

Large lawns are an important part of a family resort because they provide flexible outdoor space for recreation and relaxation.

The project includes an open lawn area with a children’s play zone. The green lawn provides space for children to play while adding an attractive visual element to the overall resort.

A properly maintained lawn also improves the appearance of the resort from multiple viewpoints and provides a natural transition between buildings, pathways and recreational areas.

Waterfront Landscape and Natural Views

One of the major strengths of this property is its connection with the surrounding natural landscape.

The waterfront view, coconut trees and surrounding hills create a naturally scenic setting. Instead of competing with the existing scenery, the landscape design complements it through plantation and open green spaces.

This approach is especially valuable for resorts in Chiplun and the Konkan region, where the natural environment itself can become an important part of the guest experience.

Landscape Maintenance for Long-Term Beauty

Landscape development is only the beginning. Regular maintenance is essential to preserve the appearance and health of a resort garden.

Professional resort landscape maintenance generally includes:

• Lawn mowing and edging
• Tree and shrub pruning
• Weed control
• Plant replacement
• Fertilisation
• Irrigation management
• Pest and disease monitoring
• Cleaning of landscape areas
• Seasonal plantation management
• General garden upkeep

At Evergreen Landscape Design & Developers, we understand that a resort landscape needs to remain attractive not only immediately after development but throughout the year.

Our Approach to Resort Landscaping

Every resort has a different site condition, architectural style and landscape requirement. Therefore, our approach begins with understanding the property and its surroundings.

For hospitality projects, we consider:

Site & Climate → Plant Selection → Lawn & Plantation → Guest Movement → Recreational Areas → Irrigation → Maintenance

This helps create landscapes that are both visually attractive and practical to maintain.
